GBG HAS A VARIETY OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT DO NOT COST THE EARTH.

Geelong Botanic Gardens is an amazing outdoor classroom.  Students participating in the gardens themed education programs actively learn in a natural setting.  Adapting their knowledge to real experiences stimulates hands on learning which consolidates classroom theory.  Students are engaged in the world of plants and their importance to how we live.

If you would like to see how your students respond to learning in an outdoor classroom the Geelong Botanic Gardens is ideal.  Our new maths program ‘Counting on Nature’ will challenge students to apply theoretical knowledge to a range of real problems.  Programs are linked to Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority for each year level ensuring that teachers can integrate the outdoor classroom experience into their class curriculum.
